Pendant "Skates"

The World in Drops of Water. The figures in this series came to Mihail Chemiakin through the contours of droplets of water in a wash basin. The world in which they live is mysterious and magical, like the Leeuwenhoek’s solar microscope in Hoffman’s Master Flea, but much kinder and more cheerful. In this series, Mihail Chemiakin retains his inimitable style as he enters the role of a nonchalant ironic storyteller, the rounded forms of his characters sparkling with warmth, iridescent and weightless like drops of water.
