On February 15, St. Petersburg Museum of Theater and Music held the grand opening of the large-scale exhibition project "The Artist and the Theater. Mikhail Shemyakin."

The project reveals the theatrical anthology of Mikhail Shemyakin's creativity, introducing the viewer to his work on "The Nutcracker", "The Magic Nut", "The Metaphysical Ballet", "The Meek", "The Sacred Spring", "Coppelia". The viewer will have the opportunity to see the layout of the stage, using which the artist developed scenery for the "Coppelia" ballet; to understand the specifics of the movements of scenic designs and scenery, the device of the wings, the depth and diversity of the scenic space. An important part of the exhibition is the sculpture series "Nutcracker" made of porcelain, created at the Imperial Porcelain Factory, and a collection of author jewelry and Christmas-tree toys by Sasonko Jewelry House that let Shemyakin's theatrical images into the chamber home dimension.
