A press conference of the artist Mikhail Shemyakin was held on November 11, 2016. The event was timed to the release of a collection of jewelry miniatures and the opening of the first salon "Mikhail Shemyakin" in the Metropol Hotel (Moscow). The collection was created by the artist within the cooperation with the jewelry house SASONKO. The unique images by Mikhail Shemyakin were embodied in three lines. The first direction is sketches of costumes and scenery Shemyakin created for the ballet productions "The Nutcracker" and "Magic Nut" in the Mariinsky Theater. The second line of the collection is associated with the carnivals of St. Petersburg and Venice. The third direction of the collection is metaphysical images based on works in which Shemyakin seeks signs for symbols, synthesizing the cults of different peoples and times. Silver, gold, ceramics and colored enamel are the main materials of the collection. "A team of professionals worked on the collection, and we did a tremendous job—from negotiations with Mikhail Shemyakin and his fund, to the opening of the "Mikhail Shemyakin" salon," says Mikhail Sasonko, founder of the jewelry house SASONKO, "It took a lot of time, effort and sources so that this unique project could be released. And this is just the beginning of a long journey. " "I really like the resulting collection. I coordinated making of each decoration, coordinated forms, proportions. I should say that we coped very quickly with the first stage: we made a deal this January, and today, November 11, everyone can already buy the products of the collection in the salon”, Shemyakin commented on creating the collection.
